Why choose me as your career counsellor?
This is my philosophy around work and careers:
It’s not about what everybody else thinks you should do.
Your future isn’t about what everyone else wants for you. It’s about what you want.
It’s all about you: your gifts, passions, strengths and interests.
You are unique and special. So are the skills you bring to the table. When we can tap into those strengths, you’ll know you’re on the right track. This is not a one-size-fits-all thing. What are you good at? What will make you happy? The answer is within you. And I’ll help you find it.
Big corporation? Self-employment? Chef?
There are no rules about what the outcome must be — only what works for you. I’m not biased against any occupation or any type of education. If it works for you, that’s what matters.
The right next steps will support the future you want.
Which school? Which program? Is university better than college? What do you do after graduation? We will figure out the exact next steps to get you launched.
I will guide you — not persuade you.
I will guide you based on what I learn about you through our conversations, assessments and work together, but I will not encourage you to do anything that feels inauthentic or cookie-cutter.
I want you to not only leave with clarity, but also with a sense of how to make future decisions regarding your career path.
This means making decisions that are right for you — guided by your knowledge of yourself and your goals. Of course, I’m always here for you if you need a sounding board!
